Digital Literacy

When we walk we sometimes leave a footprint record of where we have been.  Sometimes, if we were to look back, we physically would see where we walked; the prints left when walking on a dry surface with wet soles or on a beach, with foot prints in the sand.

Our actions on our phones and computers, also leave digital foot prints.

Our identities our reflected through our choices and activity on Social Media...

So today you are going to research your digital foot print.

You will doodle or collect images and trace.

Follow the link below for the instructions and examples

You will have today to start and all day Friday.

The Sniper

Today, we read

The Sniper

There are two assignments with The Sniper:  Student will demonstrate...
  1. Answer Long Paragraph Questions
  2. Show understanding of Literary Vocabulary
Two must complete two questions in total (#4 is Mandatory)

Choose One:

  1. Cite three examples (direct quotes) where O’Flaherty uses words and images to reinforce the pervasiveness of death in the story.

  1. Cite three examples where O’Flaherty uses words that are onomatopoeic.  Remember that words that are onomatopoeic are words that vocally imitate the sounds they denote (ex: bang).

  1. O’Flaherty uses specific language and words to describe both shooting scenes.  Explain how his word choice integrates/reinforces the emotions of the sniper.  Be sure to use textual examples to support your answer.

  1. Do you think that O’Flaherty wants us to think of the sniper’s “brother” only as his familial/ blood brother?  Explain. This is Mandatory
